Pace University STEM Collaboratory, the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems as well as the School of Education are excited to announce the 3nd Annual Summer Fellows Program!

 
When:
July 20st - July 31st, 2015, Monday - Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
July 31st, 2015, Friday - Luncheon with capstone presentations
Where: Seidenberg School of Computer Systems and Information Systems, 163 William St, New York, NY.
Who:     Rising high school sophomores to seniors of various backgrounds.
What:    App Development, Problem Solving and Design Thinking.

We are seeking a motivated group of students in the metropolitan area to be our ‘High School Students in Residence’. 
Whether you are a programmer, developer, gamer, artist, designer, architect, environmentalist, engineer or are simply looking to explore new territory, you will find a creative place to develop your interests and skills at the STEM Camp.
 
This exciting, two-week non-residential program will run from July 20st to July 31st, 2015, Monday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm.  On Friday, July 31st the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems will host a luncheon with capstone presentations of the student projects for family and friends.
 
The 3nd Annual Summer Fellows Program theme is app development, design thinking and the Billion Oyster Project. Students will be introduced and guided through the app development process in the AT&T Mobile Universe Journey. Participants will also get a chance to work with faculty from Pace University and its partners as well as college level mentors to explore the world of cyber security and design thinking.
 

What to Expect: 

Participants will be working in small teams creating, designing, and implementing mobile apps based on this year’s theme.

How to Apply:

  • Complete the online application.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from teacher, guidance councilor etc.
  • Submit an official transcript from your school.
You must be a high school student who will be enrolled in grades 10 - 12 in the Fall 2015.
