Almost instantaneously, reports appear in various media: radio, television, Internet news services, etc.

  • This initial information will often be very sketchy.
  • Often in a news reporting style, this information will attempt to establish who, when, and where something happened, although why may not be available.

Examples:

  • The Supreme Court Ruling on Affirmative Action at the University of Michigan (June 2003)
