Academic Technology Key Performance Indicators - FY2013  FY2014

The Office of Academic Technology is a direct connection between the ITS department and the Pace academic community. Academic Technology staff explores, evaluates and implements various instructional technologies that are in line with faculty’s pedagogical practices and with the University’s Strategic Plan.  Learning management systems, web conferencing, lecture capture software and electronic portfolios are key areas of focus.

Key Performance Indicators in various areas illustrate the degree to which these tools are being ultilized by the Pace community and the strong support the Academic Technology staff provides in various formats.

Blackboard Collaborate

Blackboard Collaborate is a web conferencing tool that was introduced to the Pace community in fall 2011. Faculty access this tool within their Blackboard course shell and are able to schedule and record live synchronous sessions with their students. This data tracks the total amount of time, attendees, recordings and virtual rooms created on a monthly basis.

The iPad User Group meets monthly during the fall and spring semesters to discuss the pedagogical uses for the iPad. Meetings feature guest speakers from Apple and other institutions, as well as Pace faculty and students from various disciplines who are using the iPad in innovative ways. All members of the Pace community are invited to attend.  This data reflects the attendees, broken down into Pace members versus outside members.
