Summer Staff Opportunities

The Office of Housing and Residential Life at the New York campus is currently accepting applications for the following summer staff positions. If you are interested in applying for one of the following positions, read the following information thoroughly and complete the application requirements as listed. Summer Office Assistant (OA)

Summer office assistants for the Office of Housing and Residential Life will perform the duties of an office assistant as described and will report directly to the Summer Residence Director. Summer office assistants will also assist with the spring to summer and summer to fall turnover and transition processes. Some of the specific duties to be performed and other responsibilities are:

  • Work twenty (20) hours per week at the Office of Housing and Residential Life located at 106 Fulton Street

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information and materials

  • Provide residents and others with quality customer service in a fair, timely, and respectful manner

  • Answer phones and assist residents, students and parents

  • Assist housing staff with daily operations: filing, copying, keeping office neat and tidy, delivering letters, running errands

  • Escorting Buildings & Grounds workers

  • Administer lockout process

  • Working on ad-hoc projects as instructed by housing staff

 

Summer Desk Attendant (DA)

Summer desk attendants for the Office of Housing and Residential Life will perform the duties of a desk attendant as described and will report directly to the Summer Residence Director. Summer desk attendants will also assist with the spring to summer and summer to fall turnover and transition processes. Some of the specific duties to be performed and other responsibilities are:

  • Work twenty (20) hours per week at the 106 Fulton Street Community Desk

  • Coordinate with summer staff to maintain coverage of the Community Desk

  • Independently arrange coverage for any schedule conflicts or missed shifts

  • Coordinate the guest check-in/check-out processes

  • Administer and enforce Pace University and the Office of Housing and Residential Life policies and procedures, including Guest Policy

  • Monitor desk radio

  • Assist with emergency evacuations

  • Administer lockout process

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information and materials

  • Provide residents and others with quality customer service in a fair, timely, and respectful manner

  • Working on ad-hoc projects as instructed by housing staff
