PPA Student Joins Cast of Orange Is the New Black

Pace Performing Arts acting alumnus Anthony Fagan ’12 was cast in season two of the hit Netflix series, Orange Is the New Black. Hailed as one of the best television shows of 2013, Fagan was cast in a featured role.

Shirley Acevedo Buontempo’s Non-Profit in Journal News

Latino U College Access, a non-profit organization providing college-bound Latino youth guidance in the admissions process, was the subject of a recent article in The Journal News.  Latino U College Access was founded by Dyson College Public Administration alumna Shirley Acevedo Buontempo '11 who serves as the organization’s executive director.

A New Play by Actors Studio Drama School Playwriting Alum

Michael Ross Albert’s new play For a Good Time, Call Kathy Blanchard had its world premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival on August 10. Every member of the production – writer, director, actors, designers – are alumni of the Actors Studio Drama School. The play will be performed again on August 12, 15 and 24.

Ashley Marinaccio Receives Lucille Lortel Women’s Visionary Award

Pace Performing Arts alum Ashley Marinaccio received the 2013 Lucille Lortel Women’s Visionary Award for her work as founder and artistic director of Girl Be Heard, a nonprofit theatre company that brings global issues affecting girls center stage. The acclaimed company has performed at the White House, the United Nations headquarters,TED conferences, and off-Broadway.
