BA in Environmental Studies
Environmental issues touch most aspects of our lives and thus require close examination. Following Socrates’ injunction that the unexamined life is not worth living, our program critically analyzes key issues such as population, pollution, poverty, biodiversity, and resource use, with the goal of equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to help find solutions with a strong values orientation. Our interdisciplinary approach provides the educational vehicle to thoroughly examine issues from a variety of perspectives – economic, ethical, political, historical, scientific, and theological.
Combined degree programs enable qualified students to earn both undergraduate and master’s degrees in less time than it takes to earn each degree separately.
BA in Environmental Studies/MPA in Public Administration
Based on the Pleasantville and White Plains campuses, this combined program focuses on global issues such as population, poverty, biodiversity, and resource use with the goal of equipping the student with the knowledge and skills needed to help find solutions through legislation and policy change as well as in healthcare and nonprofit management.
BA in Environmental Studies/JD in Law
The environmental studies major can be combined with a law degree from Pace University’s School of Law.

Our courses are offered on every level, from basic 100-level courses that students can use to satisfy any of the Areas of Knowledge to our 400-level capstone courses for seniors.
Pace University is #1. According to U.S.News & World Report's Short List, Pace is one of the top five schools in the U.S. for internship placement. That makes Pace the No. 1 school for internships in metro New York.
Our graduates have gone on to careers in environmental law, environmental journalism, environmental education, and have worked as lobbyists on the state and federal level.
