    Groups 2013-2014: Develop Yourself and Maximize Your Success!aximize your Success in School  

Social Skills Group
This group is for students who are looking to improve their communication skills, feel that they have trouble fitting in, or feel anxious in social situations.
The group provides a confidential, safe place for students to learn about themselves and others, while improving their social skills and interpersonal relationships.
Group Co-leaders: Elisse Geberth and Elana Light, Psy.D.

Due Process: A Law Student’s Group
This group is for law students struggling with managing the Law School-Life balance.  The group provides a safe place to discuss personal concerns and receive support. 
Group Leader:  Amanda Michael, Psy.D.

“Harm-less” is a weekly support group for students who are interested in making healthier decisions around their alcohol and/or drug use in order to minimize the negative effects on their health, relationships and school. This group offers a safe space for students to share their experiences and provide and receive support. Abstinence is not a requirement.
Group leader: JR Lombardo, LCSW

This is a support group for students who have a significant person in their life who struggles with addiction to alcohol or another drug. Students will have an opportunity to share feelings and coping strategies in a safe and confidential space.
Group Co-Leaders: Marissa Alexander, Ph.D and Susan Becker, LCSW, MPA

Understanding Self and Others
This group addresses a variety of concerns related to relationships with others (including family, friends and partners) and with oneself. The group explores themes related to identity and self-perception and provides an environment in which members can practice new ways of expressing themselves as well as share support, encouragement, and feedback in a safe and confidential environment.
