Online Tutoring

We are pleased to offer online tutoring for MAT 100/103/104/111/131 during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Online tutoring is by appointment, and appointments can be made for up to one hour.  We require at least a 24-hour advance notice if you would like tutoring online.  Please email your tutoring appointment request to, being sure to include your full name, your U number, and the day/date and time you would like to receive tutoring.

When you make an appointment, we will reply with a confirmation for your date and time.  We will also send you a link to open to start your tutoring session.  You will be working in Blackboard Collaborate, and you will need to familiarize yourself with several of its features.  There is a chat feature that will allow you to type in your questions to the tutor.  If you have a headset or a webcam, you can speak directly to the tutor.  There is also a whiteboard, where you and the tutor can work out problems together.  In addition, there is a computer sharing feature that allows you and the tutor to share each other’s computers so that you can work in the same programs together.  More instructions are available here:  BB Collaborate Help.
