CAREER SERVICES:  Welcome Parents & Families

Career preparation is an extremely important part of the Pace experience and our office is instrumental in helping your student chart their course from freshman to senior year and beyond!  Not only does our staff provide information, activities and resources for choosing a major, exploring occupational choices and learning about careers and graduate studies, we are actively engaged in assisting students to obtain valuable, study-related internships as well as full-time professional employment upon graduation. Each year over 1,200 Pace students participate in some form of experiential learning!

We recognize that you play a very important role in your student’s career development, and have provided you with some important resources below in addition to general information about our services, eligibility, and activities.  We invite you to partner with us in encouraging your student to get the most out of their Pace education and utilize our resources:

  • Encourage your student to connect with Career Services early in their Pace experience.
  • Take advantage of career events, panels, and preparatory workshops to begin exploring career options and employers.
  • Work closely with their career counselor in order to facilitate the best possible internship, volunteer or part-time job.
  • Read all Career Services' newsletters and emails in order to be aware of specific career events and opportunities.
