Trustee emeritus Alfred R. Goldstein directed a $3.1 million gift for new science laboratory facilities at Pace's Lower Manhattan campus. The new labs—which include facilities for inorganic chemistry, crime reconstruction, biology space with a centrifuge and incubator, and more—will help students hone their skills for professional success.
Pace Hosts Cybercrime Symposium
ACCA USA, the U.S. arm of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and Pace University will convene its second annual cybercrime symposium and panel discussion on February 13 in the Schimmel Theater. Jonathan Hill, Associate Dean and Director of Special Programs and Projects, is the moderator. President Stephen J. Friedman and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance will deliver remarks.

Trip to China
In December, Pace University President Stephen J. Friedman travelled to China where he hosted Pace alumni and parent receptions, met individually with prominent alumni, industry leaders and academic partners. The trip provided a great opportunity to reconnect with our alumni in the region, establish stronger ties in the business community, and begin to build upon our already strong reputation throughout the area.
The Pace University Athletics Department has selected the 1984-85 women's basketball team as the first-ever Team of Distinction Award winner and Pace professor Dr. Joseph Pastore PhD as the Peter X. Finnerty Leadership Award recipient as part of the 2014 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to take place on March 28 at Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, N.Y.
